KUALA LUMPUR: National women’s squash player, Low Wee Wern continued her fine form in the internatio­nal stage by winning the Australian Open Squash Championsh­ips in Melbourne, Australia yesterday.

The former world number five player who was forced to take a long lay-off due to a serious knee injury, proved that she is still a serious contender by defeating world number 69, Hana Ramadan of Egypt;11-6, 11-9, 10-12 and 11-6 in the final at Melbourne’s Mulgrave Country Club, according to Squash Australia website;www.squash.org.au.

This is Wee Wern’s third internatio­nal Profession­al Squash Associatio­n (PSA) Tour title – having won back-to-back the Malaysian Open and Tasmanian Open in Australia earlier.

“Three out of three PSA titles since my comeback and I can’t be more pleased. Makes all the hard work over the past 20 months worth it.Time to head home! Thanks for the support everyone!,” Wee Wern said in her instagram;@wwlow90.
