Wee Wern on a roll
KUALA LUMPUR: National women’s squash player, Low Wee Wern continued her fine form in the international stage by winning the Australian Open Squash Championships in Melbourne, Australia yesterday.
The former world number five player who was forced to take a long lay-off due to a serious knee injury, proved that she is still a serious contender by defeating world number 69, Hana Ramadan of Egypt;11-6, 11-9, 10-12 and 11-6 in the final at Melbourne’s Mulgrave Country Club, according to Squash Australia website;www.squash.org.au.
This is Wee Wern’s third international Professional Squash Association (PSA) Tour title – having won back-to-back the Malaysian Open and Tasmanian Open in Australia earlier.
