MSU student is World Miss University Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR: Management and Science University’s (MSU) Bachelor in Food Service Technology student Vanessa Cruez has beaten 32 to the World Miss University Malaysia 2018 (WMUM 2018) crown.
Joining her respectively as WMUM 2018 Miss Leadership and Miss Virtue are fellow MSU students of Bachelor in Marketing with Psychology, Shahira Sundu and Bachelor in Hospitality and Tourism Management, Chern Yun Yu.
Vanessa took home cash and prizes worth more than RM10,000 along with a scholarship fund. She will be representing Malaysia at the country’s inaugural hosting of the World Miss University International 29th edition this November at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC).
The winner of World Miss University International shall also be Ambassador to the World Miss University Peace Service Corps Foundation, and represent the organization in activities promoting world unity and understanding.
The search for Miss University Malaysia and World is a global programme promoting peace. Participants from over 123 universities worldwide pit their intellect, wit, personality, leadership, and humanistic values against physical beauty.
The pageant began in 1986 under the patronage of the International University Presidents Association commemorates the Year of Peace acknowledged by the United Nations.
