15-year-old girl among 26 arrested at ‘wild party’

-

JOHOR BARU: Two teenagers were among 26 people arrested after police raided a “wild party” at a condominium in Danga Bay on Thursday (Oct 25) night.

Johor Baru South OCPD Asst Comm Shahurinain Jais out of the 16 males and 10 females detained, 20 tested positive for drugs.

“The two teenagers are a 15-yearold girl, a student at Bandar Seri Alam and a 17-year old boy who is a school dropout,” he said in a statement yesterday.

ACP Shahurinain said the 20 admitted to taking drugs at an entertainment outlet in Taman Sentosa a day earlier.

He said initial investigation showed the party's organiser, known only as Man, had advertised the event via social media and chat apps but was not in the unit during the raid. He added the owner of the unit was unaware it was used for the party as the rental transaction was handled by a property agent.

ACP Shahurinain said all suspects who tested positive for drugs have been remanded and the case is being investigated under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act.
