Indian PM to visit Japan next week
NEW DELHI: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a two-day tour to Japan next week, the External Affairs Ministry said.
According to Indian Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale, Modi’s visit will start from Oct 28.
“The Indian prime minister will attend the 13th India-Japan annual summit, apart from holding bilateral talks with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe,” Xinhua news agency reported him as telling the media Thursday evening.
Both countries are likely to ink several pacts during Modi’s visit to Japan, officials said.
The Indian prime minister will also take in several business events and address a community function in Tokyo during his visit. — Bernama
