Labourer fined for threatening female trader

KOTA KINABALU: A labourer was fined RM25, in default, one month jail by the Magistrate's Court here yesterday for making a threat to injure a female trader.

Magistrate Afiq Agoes imposed the fine on Azrul Noorhan, 23, after he pleaded guilty as charged under Section 8 (1) (e) of the Minor Offences Ordinance which carries a fine of up to RM25 or a maximum jail of one week, upon conviction.

The unrepresented accused allegedly committed the offence at a market in Manggatal on October 23.

Inspector Mohd Rasydan Jasni prosecuted.
