Nanny of toddler denies charge of negligence

KUALA LUMPUR: A caregiver pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court yesterday to a charge of neglecting a toddler, resulting in bruises on both earlobes, two months ago.

Anila Jaya, 50, made the plea after the charge was read out before Judge Emelia Kaswati Mohamad Khalid.

The single mother was alleged to have neglected the 14-monthold girl at a premises in Flat Seri Perak, Bandar Baru Sentul, here between 8 am and 7 pm, on Aug 6.
