14-year-old boy admits sodomising 16-year-old shop assistant

BUTTERWORTH: A 14-year-old boy pleaded guilty in the Sessions Court here yesterday to a charge of sodomising a 16-year-old male shop assistant in the toilet of a sports centre here, two weeks ago.

He made the plea after the charge was read out before Judge Noor Aini Yusof in a closed-door proceeding.

He was alleged to have sodomised the victim in a toilet at Pusat Sukan BolaBola Mak Mandin, Jalan Cantik, here at 9 am on Oct 18.

He was charged under Section 377A of the Penal Code, for carnal intercourse against the order of nature, which carries a maximum prison term of 20 years and whipping, upon conviction.

The court set Dec 20 for sentencing and allowed the teenager bail of RM2,000 in one surety.

Deputy public prosecutor Nazratul Natrah Mohd Yusof prosecuted while the teenager was not represented.

According to the facts of the case, the teenager had taken the victim, who was waiting for his employer at the sports centre, to the toilet and sodomised him.

The victim said the teen had been doing this to him quite often and threatened to assault him if he refused to cooperate.

The victim then related the incident to his father before lodging a police report on Oct 24. - Bernama
