35 attend fire safety training in Sandakan
SANDAKAN: A total of 35 participants from Sedafiat Sdn Bhd (East Coast Sabah) participated in a Fire Safety Organisation (FSO) Safety Course, conducted at the Fire and Rescue Department here, from November 7 to 9.
According to Fire and Rescue Department Sandakan Zone chief Anddre Andrew, Sedafiat Sdn Bhd is an appointed company to handle maintenance works in government hospitals all over Sabah.
He said Sedafiat personnel who participated in the course included those from hospitals in Sandakan, Kinabatangan, Beluran, Lahad Datu, Kunak, Semporna and Tawau.
“The course focused on fire safety training and early measurement in handling emergency cases involving fire incidents in government hospitals in the east coast of Sabah.
“The objective is to create more FSO members who have knowledge in fire measurement systems in government hospitals and for the participants to understand the function (of the system) so that they will be able to use them effectively in times of fire incidents,” he said.
