Sabana dinner to raise funds to develop netball
KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Netball Association (Sabana) will organise its Fund Raising Charity Dinner at the Hakka Hall in Tanjung Lipat near here on December 13.
Organising chairperson Bibi Zairah M. Alli yesterday said the programme, starting 7pm, was to raise funds to further develop netball in Sabah.
“The main objective of the charity event this year is to implement netball activities at SMK Bugaya, Semporna.
“Apart from that Sabana will also focus on the team preparation for the Malaysia Games (Sukma) 2020 in Johor,” she said.
Bibi Zairah added that Sabana would also be presenting awards such as the Most Promising Player, Potential Player, Malaysia Player Special Award, Teams Award and a Special Award.
“At the end of the programme, a presentation of contribution to SMK Bugaya will take place,” she added.
Toh Puan Datuk Seri Panglima Hajah Norlidah binti Tan Sri R.M. Jasni, the wife of Sabah Head of State, is expected to attend the charity dinner.
Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Frankie Poon and Sabana president-cumthe programme advisor Chenderemata Sinteh are also expected to be present.
