Calling on all KK community ‘Santa Claus'

-

KOTA KINABALU: Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment Sabah through Sabah Tourism Board (STB) will be organising a Christmas Celebration on December 4 from 6:30pm.

STB invites the public to join in the celebration by contributing unwrapped toys, clothes or any suitable items for children between two and 12 years old.

The gift collection will be done for two weeks and will be distributed to the children of the Paediatrics Ward, Sabah Women and Children Hospital (Hospital Wanita Dan KanakKanak Sabah) by December 18.

“We have officially entered the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season. Christmas is the season of giving. So give generously. After all, it is more fun to figure out unique ways to bless someone with a gift. It's a huge motivator and it helps put life into perspective for me and you too,” said Datuk Christina Liew, Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment.

One of the highlights of the celebration is the official lighting ceremony of an ecodecorated Christmas tree, placed symbolically at the STB compound.

The night will be filled with activities such as photo taking with Santa Claus, appearance of Olaf, Orang Utan, Proboscis Monkey mascots and Santarinas, Christmas carols by STBells and Chords of Hope, and special performance by the MaleEfficient.
