Temple riots: 106 arrested so far – IGP
KUALA LUMPUR: The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has arrested another four people in connection with the riots at the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple in Subang Jaya last Nov 26, bringing the total number of suspects in the case to 106 people as at 8 am yesterday.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun said apart from that, seven of the 66 individuals wanted by the police in connection with the case had surrendered and given their statements to facilitate investigation.
Asked whether the police had recorded statement from firefighter Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim, 24, who was severely injured when attacked during the riot, Mohamad Fuzi said the police had yet to do so as the firefighter had not recovered fully from the injuries.
