Apply for Young Agropreneur Grant Program – Junz
KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Agriculture and Food Industry Minister Datuk Junz Wong called upon young agropreneurs to come forward and become part of the Young Agropreneur Grant Program.
He encouraged Sabahans to actively respond to government program, which aims to assist agriculture players in the state.
“Do not hesitate to approach MAFI (Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry) to get help. We are more than willing to assist agricultural players to achieve their goals,” he stressed to the young agropreneurs in Sabah through a press statement here yesterday.
The Young Agropreneur Grant Program 2019 is a grant under the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrobased Industry.
Applicants must be Malaysians between 18 to 40 years old, able to read, write and know mathematics.
Under this program applicants have to fulfil certain criteria such as starting a new project and must attend a technical training program organized or certified by MOA.
It is not necessary for certificate, diploma or degree holder applicants to undergo the technical training.
Junz said successful Young Agropreneur Grant Program 2019 applicants would be provided with the once-in-their-lifetime grant, and priority would be given to those doing farming activities.
The minister said young agropreneurs in Sabah must be aware and be well informed of government programs.
The grant application was open since January 1 and the second phase will open from May 1 to 31 and Phase 3 will be from September 1 to 30.
