ESSCom issues list of 18 wanted persons
LAHAD DATU: The Eastern Sabah Security Command (ESSCom) yesterday issued the latest list of 18 wanted persons, including seven new ones, who are believed to be involved in cross-border criminal activities in the Eastern Sabah Security Zone (ESSZone).
ESSCom commander DCP Datuk Hazani Ghazali, in a statement, disclosed that all 18 individuals are foreigners and are wanted by the security forces, especially ESSCom, to assist in solving cross-border crimes in Sabah’s east coast throughout 2018.
He said the seven new individuals identified are Salip Mura, Sibih Pisih, Titing Aihasan @ Iyot Panday, Roger Saji, Long Sahirin, Jul Aksan Abdurajan @ Halimaw and Ben Tatoh.
In this regard, members of the public are urged to forward any information to ESSCom and the security forces pertaining to the location of these individuals so that appropriate action can be taken to maintain security in Sabah’s east coast.
“This latest list of wanted persons, who are believed to be involved in planning several cross border crimes and are still active is issued following our investigation and verification from the Philippines security forces,” he said.
According to Hazani, since June 2016, ESSCom has issued a list of 45 wanted persons, and of the number, 29 of them have been neutralized and taken out of the list, as they are either shot dead or have turned themselves in to the Philippines authority.
