Dynaciate Engineering becomes Tatt Giap's largest shareholder

-

KUALA LUMPUR: Dynaciate Engineering Sdn Bhd has emerged as the largest shareholder of Tatt Giap Group Bhd after the company increased its shareholding to 29.74 per cent from 12.95 per cent previously.

Dynaciate Engineering managing director Khoo Song Heng said the move to increase its shareholding in Tatt Giap would enable the company to play a more effective role in boosting Tatt Giap's performance.

“In order for our plans to be executed seamlessly and materialised successfully, we need to ensure that our voice is strong enough,” he said in a statement yesterday.

Khoo, who is also Tatt Giap's executive director, said with the latest development, coupled with Tatt Giap's existing industry experience and expertise, the company is confident that its upcoming new ventures and undertakings would prove to be fruitful.

“Tatt Giap will now have a full stream of businesses, from manufacturing of steel products to engineering and construction of plants and oil and gas facilities and refining, chemical and chemical products, oleo-chemicals as well as pharmaceutical and food processing industries,” he said. - Bernama KUALA LUMPUR: Maintaining sales and profit margins are the primary concerns of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), ahead of gaining new customers, said Malaysia's largest private credit reporting agency, CTOS Data Systems Sdn Bhd (CTOS).

In its recent survey for the sector, it said sentiment was across the board and throughout the distributing, manufacturing, construction and finance industries.

“With 37.1 per cent of Malaysia's gross domestic product (GDP) coming from SMEs, the issues that affect them will undoubtedly affect Malaysia as a whole.

“We are seeing that issues such as pricing and competition are factored much lower down the list, which may mean that the SME sector is looking at consolidating positions in 2019, rather than looking towards expansion," said CTOS's group chief executive officer, Dennis Martin in a statement yesterday.

He said cash flow issues were the second largest concern, with 37 per centof respondentshighlightingitas a major problem, giving further credence to the theory that SMEs were feeling the financial pinch as larger organisations may be struggling to meet commitments to them.

Dennis added that in respect of another issue, “government policies”, only one fifth of SMEs expressed concerns.
