New bands, TXT, Brand New Boys to debut soon

SEOUL: Big Hit Entertainm­ent introduced their second boy band, Tomorrow X Together (TXT), and the band’s first member, Yeonjun, yesterday.

According to the agency, who is behind the world’s biggest boy band BTS, the group’s name signifies that the boys will make a bright tomorrow together under one dream.Big Hit also revealed the first member of the group, the 19-year-old Yeonjun, who is said to have exceptiona­l singing and dancing skills and will be the oldest member of the group.

TXT is the agency’s first new band in six years and will make their debut in the next few months.

In separate news, Entertainm­ent agency Brandnew Music has assembled a special task force to prepare their upcoming boy band, tentativel­y called the Brand New Boys, for its debut.

According to the agency on Wednesday, the task force is comprised of experts from various musical fields to help the four boys, Lee Dae-whi and Park Woo-jin from the disbanded group Wanna One, and the hiphop duo MXM - make their debut as a quartet.

“We’ll be giving them our full support so that each member can fully express their talents,” said Brandnew Music.

Neither the specific date of the boys’ debut, nor their group’s official name have been finalized, but the agency says the quartet will be making moves after February.

“The group will reveal itself gradually, after each members’ planned schedules end, through a careful program created by the task force,” said the agency.

Meanwhile, Swing Entertainm­ent announced Wednesday that they will be the agency for former member of Wanna One Kim Jae-hwan.

Kim did not belong to an agency before he joined Swing Entertainm­ent for Wanna One.
