FCAS president briefs advisors on CNY Carnival
KOTA KINABALU: Federation of Chinese Associations Sabah (FCAS) president Tan Sri TC Goh hosted a luncheon for advisors of the federation to brief them on the Chinese New Year (CNY) Carnival to be held at Lintasan Deasoka on February 1 and 2.
Among those present at the luncheon were Tan Sri Paul Lim, Datuk Tay Jin Jwo, Datuk Chee Chi Seng, Datuk James Hwong, Henry Kong, Kapitan Li Su Fook, Kota Kinabalu member of parliament Chan Foong Hin, and Likas assemblyman Tan Lee Fatt.
All advisors were invited to the Chinese New Year Carnival on February 1 and 2, and the 25th anniversary dinner of FCAS at Hakka Hall on February 9.
The opening of the carnival will be officiated by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Shafie Apdal, while Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Christina Liew will officiate the closing of the event.
Audience at the Chinese New Year Carnival will be entertained with cultural dances, singing and dragon and lion dance performances, whereas the highlight of the event is the fireworks display to welcome tourists who are spending the festive season in Kota Kinabalu.
