TABS Safa Ban­daraya pledge to hold many pro­grams

KOTA KINABALU: TABS Safa Ban­daraya pledged to hold many pro­grammes this year and to con­tinue with ef­forts to improve on the qual­ity of its ever grow­ing trainees.

Chair­man Su­laiman Mohd Noor said in view of that, the TABS man­age­ment called for all its coaches to al­ways give their fullest com­mit­ment to make it a suc­cess.

He said the head coach must make sure that the coaches are com­mit­ted and carry out their roles ef­fec­tively.

“The grow­ing list of trainees is a chal­lenge to the coaches but we be­lieve they would be able to do their ar­ranged jobs ef­fec­tively,” he said in a state­ment yes­ter­day.

Su­laiman said this af­ter chair­ing TABS’ first meet­ing of the year in Likas near here yes­ter­day.

Also present was Sabah Sports Coun­cil direc­tor As­neh Mohd Noor, who is also TABS Safa Ban­daraya vice pres­i­dent.

Su­laiman went on to con­grat­u­late the TABS man­age­ment and coaches for their achieve­ment in var­i­ous tour­na­ments last year in­clud­ing at the Borneo Foot­ball Cup here and CIMB Tour­na­ment in Malacca as well as the var­i­ous friendly matches against teams from within and out­side of the state.

“We want the good per­for­mance to con­tinue thus en­hanc­ing the qual­ity of our play­ers,” he added.

Mean­while, TABS deputy pres­i­dent Lok­man Sung­gim said that the ba­sic foot­ball academy will or­gan­ise var­i­ous tour­na­ments this year.

“Among the planned tour­na­ments are for un­der-12, un­der-14 and un­der-16. We will make the ef­forts to or­gan­ise them,” he said.
