TABS Safa Bandaraya pledge to hold many programs

KOTA KINABALU: TABS Safa Bandaraya pledged to hold many programmes this year and to continue with efforts to improve on the quality of its ever growing trainees.

Chairman Sulaiman Mohd Noor said in view of that, the TABS management called for all its coaches to always give their fullest commitment to make it a success.

He said the head coach must make sure that the coaches are committed and carry out their roles effectivel­y.

“The growing list of trainees is a challenge to the coaches but we believe they would be able to do their arranged jobs effectivel­y,” he said in a statement yesterday.

Sulaiman said this after chairing TABS’ first meeting of the year in Likas near here yesterday.

Also present was Sabah Sports Council director Asneh Mohd Noor, who is also TABS Safa Bandaraya vice president.

Sulaiman went on to congratula­te the TABS management and coaches for their achievemen­t in various tournament­s last year including at the Borneo Football Cup here and CIMB Tournament in Malacca as well as the various friendly matches against teams from within and outside of the state.

“We want the good performanc­e to continue thus enhancing the quality of our players,” he added.

Meanwhile, TABS deputy president Lokman Sunggim said that the basic football academy will organise various tournament­s this year.

“Among the planned tournament­s are for under-12, under-14 and under-16. We will make the efforts to organise them,” he said.
