18 suc­cess­fully com­plete lawn bowls coach­ing course

KOTA KINABALU: Eigh­teen can­di­dates suc­cess­fully com­pleted the four-day Level II Lawn Bowls Coach­ing Course at the Kota Kinabalu Sports Com­plex in Likas near here yes­ter­day.

Sabah Lawn Bowls As­so­ci­a­tion (PBPNS) in col­lab­o­ra­tion with the Na­tional Coach­ing Acedemy (AKK) or­gan­ised the course.

Or­gan­is­ing chair­man Shuib Hashim said Sabah have the most par­tic­i­pants with 13 fol­lowed by Pa­hang with two while Se­lan­gor, Negeri Sem­bi­lan and Aus­tralia have one par­tic­i­pant each.

“The ob­jec­tive of the course is to en­hance and improve the stan­dard of the coaches,” he said.

The in­struc­tors of the course were Malaysia Lawn Bowls Fed­er­a­tion (PLBM) head coach Dr. Si­mon Botha and na­tional coach Zu­raidi Puteh.

Pres­i­dent of PBPNS Datuk Ladis­laus Maluda of­fi­cially closed the course while PLBM sec­re­tary gen­eral Syed Zainal Abidin was also present.
