KENINGAU STUDENTS SHINE:

Students of SM St Francis Xavier, Keningau posing with Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Mohd Shafie Apdal after they returned home from the International Istanbul Harmanfolk & Children School Folklore Festival 2018. In addition to winning the Harmanfolk, the students also won two categories in the Eurasia International Folklore. They also performed the traditional Murut dance Mamaliab and won in the Best Choreography category and Special Jury Award. Forty countries took part in the folklore competition while five nations, including Malaysia, participated in the Harmanfolk. Earlier, the Chief Minister presented a RM15,000 contribution to the students to fly to Istanbul to participate in the two competitions held in November 2018.
