SlingApp targets to match 1 mln jobs by year-end

KUALA LUMPUR: Job-seeking mobile applicatio­n SlingApp targets to match more than one million jobs across 10 industries by year-end for job seekers aged 18 to 30 years.

SlingApp co-founder Teh Tian Ji said since its launch in 2017, SlingApp has successful­ly matched 40,000 job seekers to more than 2,000 companies including major global brands such as DiGi Communicat­ions, AEON, Mary Kay, Sushi King, Tony Roma’s and Public Mutual.

“The job search will be set within a 30km radius for travelling convenienc­e and the first screening of the hiring process is done through its Auto-Interviu feature which contains five tailored questions to the applicants,” he said in a statement yesterday.

Slingapp has also partnered with the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporatio­n’s eRezeki programme, and aims to assist the lower income households to improve their livelihood­s by enabling them to participat­e in income opportunit­ies offered via digital means.

“Through this applicatio­n, we can help young job seekers to seek non-executive jobs either for full-time, part-time employment or internship placements easily from various industries such as the startup and tech sector, food and beverage, customer service, beauty and healthcare, retail, finance and so on via the applicatio­n,” he said.
