Florence Pugh would love to have a match with the real professional Paige

FLORENCE Pugh (below) would love to have a wrestling match with the real life Paige.

The 23-year-old actress plays the professional wrestler in ‘Fighting with My Family’ and would love a chance to go toe to toe with the athlete.

Speaking to BANG Showbiz at the premiere of ‘Fighting with My Family’ at the BFI Southbank, London, she said: “Dude I have been putting it out into the ether. I have been saying, come on, how fun would it be if we did like a rematch except I came out as like pretend Paige. It would be pretty amazing, we’d do like some phantom ghost fight where she’d just blow on me and then I’d throw myself across the room.”

Pugh had previously revealed that Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson - who she starred with in the movie - mentored her on how to throw a punch on camera.

She said: “He was showing me how to throw a punch and how to reel back on camera, and I just remember looking at him while all these other wrestlers were looking at him in awe. And he suddenly went, ‘are you listening to me?’ and I went, ‘yes, yes, of course’. But inside, I was thinking, ‘Wow. This is happening!’” And speaking about working with Johnson, she added: “He’s so gorgeous. I was sure that I was going to find some little problem with him - I was adamant that I was going to be the person that discovered he smelled funny or that he actually didn’t know how to wrestle, but he really is that perfect! He was so helpful with sculpting the wrestling side of it. I take my hat off to him for trusting me as a non-wrestler entering this wrestling world, and I also thank him hugely for being patient and completely helping me along the way.”
