Swepa’s forum on women’s equality, achievemen­ts March 9

KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Women Entreprene­urs and Profession­al Associatio­n (Swepa) is organising a forum, in conjunctio­n with Internatio­nal Women’s Day, on March 9.

Organising chairperso­n Michelle De La Harpe-Germani said their objective this year was to raise awareness on women’s equality and celebrate women’s achievemen­ts as well as highlight gender parity gains, and more.

She added that the forum will also discuss the challenges faced by women prior to attaining their success.

She also said the forum this year would feature two women speakers and two male speakers.

The speakers would be Datuk Nancy Ho, who is the charter president of Swepa, Stephanie Chok, who is a master trainer at Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Samuel Tan, who is the executive director at NewLife Internatio­nal and Ben Uzair, who is a radio talk show host and content creator at KK12FM.

The forum will be held on March 9 at the Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort and Spa, at 1pm. Tickets will be sold at RM60 for Swepa members and RM70 for non-members. There will be a refund of RM40 on the day of the event.
