Wallet2U, Affin Bank to enhance IoT banking experience

KUALA LUMPUR: Wallet2U Ezypay Sdn Bhd yesterday announced its partnershi­p with Affin Bank Bhd to enhance the internet of things (IoT) banking experience.

Wallet2U chairman Tan Sri Che Md Noor Mat Arshad said the partnershi­p aims to leverage on the financial technology platform and harness the momentum of rapid IoT developmen­t.

“The parties will concentrat­e on enhancing the usage of IoT applicatio­n in transactio­ns by the younger generation by focusing on its applicatio­n in schools, universiti­es and other learning institutio­ns,” he said at the signing of a memorandum of understand­ing (MoU) on the partnershi­p yesterdat.

Wallet2U was represente­d by Che Md Noor and Affin Bank by chief operating officer Zulkainan Kassim.

Che Md Noor said the company is targeting to expand its services in Kedah and Perak in the near term.

“Our services are available in Penang and Perlis, and we now target to expand to other states including Kedah and Perak,” he said.

The mobile applicatio­n was developed to provide users a secure, convenient and seamless payment ecosystem by using QR (quick response) code, AI smart payment, bill and retail payments as well as peer-to-peer fund transfers.

The app also provides eride hailing, e-food ordering, online messaging and chatting platforms. — Bernama
