Group aims to open 36 Gold Houses in Malaysia

KOTA KINABALU: GTIC Group aims to establish 36 Gold Houses in Malaysia to provide investors access to high quality gold products and services, said its chairman Victor Soh.

"Malaysia, with its long history of gold consumptio­n and deep appreciati­on of gold, is an ideal market for GTIC to introduce our range of high quality products."

He said that at the grand opening of its second Gold House in Malaysia at Signature Office KK Times Square here on Monday.

The event was graced by Yang Mulia M Kin Eezaz Abdullah Tengku A B.

The Gold House in Kota Kinabalu is GTIC Group's third internatio­nal store and first flagship outlet in East Malaysia.

Apart from offering a range of gold products, Soh said the company aimed to be the pioneer in the gold refinery industry to supply high quality products.

To this end, he said the Group would continue its investment to set up a gold refinery in Malaysia in addition to its retail expansion.

GTIC Group deals with precious metal, property and agricultur­e businesses. The company is the refiner and retailer of investment precious metal bars and owner of the Merlion brand and GTIC brand gold bars.

Meanwhile, GTIC Group chief executive officer Syengnel Loh said the company aspired to establish a Gold House in every state in Malaysia.

"We have establishe­d the Gold House in Kota Kinabalu in less than six months after the opening of the first outlet in Kuala Lumpur due to the demand from East Malaysian consumers.

"The Malacca outlet will be open next month," she added.

Loh said the company never gave up in the face of challenges in its expansion from Singapore, Taiwan to Malaysia.

"I hope our shareholde­rs and business partners will continue to support us on this journey."
