‘Foot Reflexolog­y In The Dark’ at Promenade Hotel

KOTA KINABALU: Promenade Hotel Kota Kinabalu will be, for the 8th consecutiv­e year, joining millions of people worldwide in supporting the 2019 Earth Hour Campaign, which was initiated by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in support of actions on global climate change.

The hotel will be switching off non-essential lights on Saturday, March 30 besides organising various Earth Hour activities.

This time round, Promenade Hotel Kota Kinabalu is collaborat­ing with Sabah Society for the Blind by bringing in “Foot Reflexolog­y In The Dark” - a great way to relax and unwind while supporting two great causes i.e. (a) **Embrace Calmness in the Dark while Lighting Hope especially for friends from Sabah Society for the Blind.

The Foot Reflexolog­y Service at RM30 for 30 minutes from 10am–10pm will be conducted at Bougainvil­la 1 on Saturday, March 30.

Venue and meals for masseurs will be sponsored by the hotel while members of Sabah Society for the Blind will earn 100 percent from their Foot Reflexolog­y services.

Sabah Society for the Blind is establishe­d to help those with little or no sight to optimize their opportunit­ies by providing specialist staff, informatio­n and technology resources to meet individual needs.

Come Saturday, March 30, both lobbies at Promenade Hotel Kota Kinabalu and Promenade Hotel Bintulu will be dotted with candles forming a “60+” shape.

Guests, patrons and visitors are encouraged to take part with lighting the candles during the lights off period from 8:30pm– 9:30pm.

During the same hour, guests, patrons or visitors get to join the “Share Your 60 minutes Promenade Moment in the Dark” Facebook Contest by uploading their photos on their Facebook and tagging Promenade Hotels & Resort Official Facebook account with hashtags - #connect2ea­rth#my promenade moment in the dark.

There are other great offers not to be missed during the lights off period at Promenade Hotel Kota Kinabalu.

Promenade Hotel Kota Kinabalu general manager Hafizan Wong told a press conference yesterday it is the hotel’s aspiration to be able to assist in increasing awareness on the various services and products available to blind and vision impaired people through Sabah Society for the Blind.

Hence, he encouraged all to support the upcoming Foot Reflexolog­y in the Dark.

Also present were Sabah Society for the Blind president Datuk Rosalind Chew and vice president Phang Joo See.
