Pupils learn about 100-year history of Sarawak through sharing session
KUCHING: Only through learning about history would one fall in love with the place where one grew up.
This was what participants of a sharing session on the 100-year history of Sarawak found out.
Some 1,500 pupils and teachers were enlightened on the history of Sarawak through story-telling, said a press statement yesterday.
Sarawak New Media Generation Association and MySarawak team were recently invited by SJK Chung Hua Batu 10 for the sharing session.

The session went on not without big rounds of applause and laughter, guiding young Sarawakians through the century-old history of Sarawak.
Illustrator Aya, who was the key speaker at the event, adopted fascinating comics and comprehensive words to deliberate about the history of Sarawak.
This brought home the point to the pupils that Sarawak used to be a part of Brunei Darussalam and that Sarawak went through the White Rajah era besides learning other landmark buildings as well as the story about Taib.
A quiz was also held in conjunction with the session where all participating pupils were given a gift each.

The book leads one through the different eras of Sarawak.
It serves as a positive tool to educate Sarawakians and promote love for Sarawak towards enhanced unity to better defend the interest of Sarawakians.
