Magnum pays out RM51 million-jackpot in July

-

KUCHING: Magnum Jackpot Gold 1 was won by a businessman in his 40s from Kuala Lumpur on July 28.

The winning number, 203130 + 03, which the man purchased randomly has won him RM10,216,722

The prize money is the total of the Jackpot Gold 1 prize money and the third prize of RM100,000.

The man came to Magnum office to claim his winnings, saying that he checked the results from Magnum 4D website at the end of draw, found out he won, and had a sleepless night thinking about his winnings.

He said whenever he passed by a Magnum outlet, he would always check the Jackpot amount for the highest prize money. Last week, when he was checking the board, he found out that Jackpot Gold 1 offered a higher prize money, and immediately placed his bet on the game. Voila! He is now RM10 million richer.

The winner said he would donate some to charity and invest in Fixed Deposit as well.

“The money won’t change me. I will still continue my usual work, and with the winning, I will do more charity work, and give back to the community.”

Meanwhile, a factory supervisor from Malacca won RM8,151,184 from Magnum 4D Jackpot on July 24. The winning numbers were 2644 (1st prize) and 1205 (3rd prize).

The numbers were a combination of his car plate number and his personal favourite number.

The lucky man who has been playing Magnum for the past 20 years is a casual 4D player, and would purchase the Jackpot game whenever the Jackpot 1 amount snowballs to a higher amount.

He occasionally spends RM50 on Magnum tickets when he feels lucky, or inspired by events.

“I couldn’t believe it when I saw that I won. I kept looking at the screen when I scanned my ticket on the Magnum Mobile App. I also asked my wife to recheck the ticket. Her reaction was one of complete shock. I still don’t think it has sunk in for her.”

“This winning also make me realise that the stories I usually read about people winnings is true, and not made up as claimed by some of the people out there.”

His immediate plans? None he said.

A Magnum representative said: “We are so thrilled and happy for the winners and we wish them all the best.”
