Proton X70 Premium, Isuzu DMax as hole-in-one prizes

Hole-inone prizes, namely a Proton X70 Premium and an Isuzu DMax will be waiting for lucky winners in the CMI Charity Golf Tournament at the Sabah Golf and Country Club (SGCC) near here on October 26.

Organising chairman Willie Ng said the X70 would be put up at the eighth and 17th parthree holes while the DMax at the fifth and 12th par-three holes.

"On behalf of the organiser, I would like to thank Fook Loi Corporatio­n (Sabah) Sdn Bhd for sponsoring both the hole- in-one prizes.

"Apart from that, the golf event will also have the lucky draws where the main prize will be a 60-inch LED television," he said during a press conference here over the weekend.

Also present were tournament advisor Patrick Tan, deputy organising chairman Datuk George Bandusena, Fook Loi Group chairman Anthony Chiu, Fook Loi Group executive director Thomas K.Y. Chiu and tournament director Christophe­r Liaw.

Ng said the tournament, using the Stableford System 36, would have two sessions and that the entry fee is RM1,200 per golfer or RM4,800 per flight (of four players).

"An overall champion will be crowned at the end of the tournament," he said while adding prizes too would be given for Category A (handicap 12 and under), Category B (handicap 13-18), Category C (handicap 19 and above), Ladies and Super Senior (70 and above) events.

There will also be novelty prizes for nearest-to-pin at all the par-three holes, nearestto-line at the seventh and 11th hole as well as longest drive at the seventh hole.

Meanwhile, Patrick said the the tournament would be held in aid of the Church of Mary Immaculate (CMI) extension building fund.

He said the RM3.5 million project had yet to start because of inadequate funds.

"Hopefully, we will be able to raise around RM300,000 from the tournament. Apart from that, we also welcome any contributi­on from individual­s or corporate bodies," he said.
