Sheda Property Expo 2019 to be held at BCCK

-

Over 80 booths have been taken up by exhibitors to showcase their properties, services and products at the upcoming Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developers Association (Sheda) Property Expo 2019.

The expo will be held from September 20 to 22, 2019 (Friday to Sunday) from 10am to 9pm at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK).

“We are pleased to inform you that as per today, 80 booths have been taken up by exhibitors,” Sheda representative and Sheda Property Expo 2019 organising chairman John Yong said during the expo's Exhibitors' Briefing here yesterday.

He noted that there are currently limited booths available and he therefore encouraged interested parties to book a booth as soon as possible.

Besides the property expo, there would also be a range of interesting activities that would be held during the three-day event.

“A line-up of interesting talks by internationally recognised speakers have been arranged for savvy investor or interested home buyers who want to know more about property in Sarawak. We have also flown in speakers from Peninsular Malaysia for these talks. Therefore, we would like to invite interested exhibitors and visitors to attend these talks,” Yong added.

At the expo, property developers can also grab the opportunity to register with Sheda in order to be qualified for the Home Ownership Campaign (HOC) 2019.

“This year, the government has addressed the property overhang issues in the country by initiating HOC 2019. As such, the government offers stamp duties exemptions on Instrument of Transfer and Instrument on Loan Agreement.

“The stamp duty waiver is only applicable for residential properties purchased from a developer (primary market) that are registered with Sheda, Real Estate and Housing Developers' Association Malaysia (Rehda), and Sabah Housing and Real Estate Developers Association (Shareda).

“The campaign is open to all Malaysian individuals and there is no limitations on the number of units that can be purchased.

“Therefore, we encourage exhibitors to take this opportunity to participate in the HOC campaign and exhibit your product during this three-day property expo,” Yong said.

Aside from that, there will also be a range of goodies and activities visitors can participate in.

Visitors can grab a free umbrella at the expo and besides the welcome gifts, they can also stand a chance to win the daily lucky draw and a year's worth of e-paper subscription from either See Hua Daily, Borneo Post, or Utusan Borneo.

Purchases at the expo are also rewarded as buyers who spend a minimum RM1,000 or more in a single receipt at the expo will be entitled to redeem an exciting gift from a range of branded items.

As for exhibitors, Sheda will be giving out awards to exhibitors who excel in three categories. There are; ‘Best Booth Award', ‘The Corporate Image Award', and ‘The Creativity Award'.

The judging for this year's awards will be based on overall appearance, creativity and originality, technique and skill of construction, outstanding corporate identity or image, exhibits and product display, and graphic and information.

Furthermore, Sheda announced that the grand opening of Sheda Property Expo 2019 is expected to be graced by Sarawak's Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg and therefore, it would be a good opportunity for exhibitors to showcase their products there.

The expo's main sponsors this year comprised of Naim Land Sdn Bhd, CMS Property Development Sdn Bhd, and Lee Onn Construction Sdn Bhd.

During the briefing, BCCK stressed that exhibitors should follow the rules and regulations set by the BCCK as well as the timing for the construction of booths at the expo to ensure that the facilities are well maintained.

BCCK also noted exhibitors and visitors can also take this opportunity to try its latest food menu for its food market.
