KUALA LUMPUR: The threeday Global Islamic Fintech Summit (GIFS) 2019 and its coevent Islamic Digital Economy Experience (IDEX) starting Oct 1, 2019 here is expected to attract more than 900 delegates and trade visitors.

Istanbul-based event organiser Elmangos said GIFS and IDEX this year will highlight the huge demand for digital halal industry services globally, with innovation, entrepreneurship and the economy as the main themes.

It said the first day of the event will be exclusively for masterclasses, hosted by the Malaysian Global Creativity Centre (MaGIC), that will go into detail on fintech and other digital-related topics, allowing participants to engage more deeply with industry experts and gain greater Insights.

The second day, to be held at Berjaya Times Square Hotel, will host IDEX, which focuses on the various sectors of the halal industry, the importance of entrepreneurship in the digital age, how to thrive within the ecosystem, and a dedicated panel for female entrepreneurship.
