LDP president holds son's wedding reception for over 800 guests

KOTA KINABALU: More than 800 guests, family members and guests attended the wedding reception of the youngest son of Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) president Datuk Chin Su Phin, Wei Terd and Lola Liew at Magellan Sutera Harbour here on Saturday.

Among those present were former chief minister Tan Sri Chong Kah Kiat, Tan Sri Paul Lim, Tan Sri David Chu, Tan Sri Lau Ngan Siew and former minister of special tasks Datuk Seri Panglima Teo Chee Kang.

Guests were entertained all night long by Malaysian artistes, especially the multiple awardwinning Dama Music Theatre performance featuring soprano Tan Soo Suan, who belted out western and eastern numbers and hit all the high notes with perfection.

Penangese Winnie Goh, winner of the Astro Classic Golden Melody 2015, was also invited to perform. Dubbed the lady with the iron lungs, Winnie is a proud winner of 182 singing competitions.

Also performing that night were Wesley Liew, winner of the Most Popular Award of the Astro Classic Golden Melody 2018, Dennis Lee, winner of Astro Classic Golden Melody 2014 and Annabelle Voo, a renowned singer in Kota Kinabalu and Brunei who is known for her multilingual performance.
