Surprise watch gift for five visitors to Sabah
KOTA KINABALU: Five lucky visitors to Sabah received a brandnew Citizen watch in conjunction with Sabah Tourism’s campaign with Citizen Watch for their 100th anniversary.
The intended campaign was announced during the Malaysia Citizen Eco-Drive final leg tour to Sabah held in December 2018 and to be launched in 2019.
Citizen contributed five exclusive timepieces from their
Eco-Drive series to be given to visitors numbering between the first to three millionth arriving in Kota Kinabalu.
Citizen watch is an environmentally conscious watch brand from Japan. The Eco-Drive watch series uses solar to charge battery life which can last up to 7-8 years without a change. Hence, as a national leader for naturebased destination, Sabah was chosen for its branding that links well with the timepiece’s initiatives on their Eco-Drive concept, which aims to achieve the same positive effect on the environment.
The campaign ran from May to September and the watches were awarded to Koyo Ishihara (Japan), Susan Poechhacker (Australia), Mohd Fadzil Bin Yahiya (Malaysia), Jo Eun Jin (Korea) and Lu Kai Tong (China).
