Sur­prise watch gift for five vis­i­tors to Sabah

KOTA KINABALU: Five lucky vis­i­tors to Sabah re­ceived a brand­new Ci­ti­zen watch in con­junc­tion with Sabah Tourism’s cam­paign with Ci­ti­zen Watch for their 100th an­niver­sary.

The in­tended cam­paign was an­nounced dur­ing the Malaysia Ci­ti­zen Eco-Drive fi­nal leg tour to Sabah held in De­cem­ber 2018 and to be launched in 2019.

Ci­ti­zen con­trib­uted five ex­clu­sive time­pieces from their

Eco-Drive se­ries to be given to vis­i­tors num­ber­ing be­tween the first to three mil­lionth ar­riv­ing in Kota Kinabalu.

Ci­ti­zen watch is an en­vi­ron­men­tally con­scious watch brand from Ja­pan. The Eco-Drive watch se­ries uses so­lar to charge bat­tery life which can last up to 7-8 years without a change. Hence, as a na­tional leader for na­ture­based des­ti­na­tion, Sabah was cho­sen for its brand­ing that links well with the time­piece’s ini­tia­tives on their Eco-Drive con­cept, which aims to achieve the same pos­i­tive ef­fect on the en­vi­ron­ment.

The cam­paign ran from May to Septem­ber and the watches were awarded to Koyo Ishi­hara (Ja­pan), Su­san Poech­hacker (Aus­tralia), Mohd Fadzil Bin Yahiya (Malaysia), Jo Eun Jin (Korea) and Lu Kai Tong (China).
