Sabah Civil Defence Force (APM) director Colonel Kamal Mokhtar said the families, from Kampung Baitam, Jambatan Baru and Kampung Baru, were currently placed at the temporary flood evacuation centre Selagon Community Hall since 8am yesterday.
“At press time, eight other villages, namely Kg Bambangan, Kg Sinoko, Kg Sindok, Kg Baitam Ulu, Kg Lumantak, Kg Baitam Laut, Kg Kayai and Kg Papas, were also affected by the flood, while water level is at 6.80 metres,” he said.
