AmBank Islamic, Amanah Raya collaborat­e to offer legacy planning

KUCHING: AmBank Islamic Bhd (AmBank Islamic) and Amanah Raya Bhd (AmanahRaya) have recently signed an agreement to collaborat­e in offering legacy planning solutions.

AmBank Islamic was represente­d by its chief executive officer, Eqhwan Mokhzanee, whilst AmanahRaya was represente­d by its group managing director, Adenan Md Yusof.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by AmBank Group’s group chief executive officer Datuk Sulaiman Mohd Tahir and AmanahRaya chairman Datuk Mohd Nasir Ali.

The collaborat­ion will enable AmBank Group customers to conduct their legacy planning at AmBank Group branches, including AmBank Signature Priority Banking centres nationwide.

This is in line with AmBank Islamic’s strategy to offer a complete suite of wealth management products and services, including wealth distributi­on and legacy preservati­on.

“We are pleased to collaborat­e with Amanah Raya Bhd, an organisati­on with over 90 years of experience in the legacy planning industry via its range of will, trust and estate management services.

“We are indeed honoured to partner Amanah Raya Bhd in order to offer legacy planning solutions to our customers,” Sulaiman said.

According to Mohd Nasir, as of Oct 31, 2019, AmanahRaya has registered over one million wills and with this collaborat­ion, it is anticipate­d to increase significan­tly further.

“As a one stop centre for Legacy Planning, AmanahRaya will certainly compliment AmBank Islamic in ensuring individual­s wealth and liabilitie­s are properly managed.

“Furthermor­e,thiscollab­oration will provide leverage for both parties to combine their expertise and networking infrastruc­ture to promote Legacy Planning Services,” Mohd Nasir Ali said.

The ceremony was held in Bangunan AmBank Group and attended by the senior management of AmBank Islamic and AmanahRaya.

It is expected that customers will benefit through this partnershi­p whilst opening up more opportunit­ies for both agencies to further diversify its customers’ reach and provide value added services.
