STC annual charity for underprivi­leged elderly Jan 13

KOTA KINABALU: Everise Ventures Sdn Bhd (EVSB), the management company for Sandakan Turf Club (STC) will carry out its annual charity do on Jan 13 in conjunctio­n with the coming Chinese New Year celebratio­n .

It will be conducted at Lido Square located along Jalan Penampang here at 1 pm. The annual program aims chiefly to bring cheer to the underprivi­leged elderly folks during the festive season, in line with the company’s 26 years long tradition of giving back to the community, as well as in support of the government’s call for a ‘caring society’.

Under the program, the company will be giving out ang pow and a gi hamper to qualified underprivi­leged senior citizens aged 65 and above.

Those who are interested and wished to participat­e in the program can register themselves at the company’s headquarte­rs at Wisma STC, located at No. 12, Lorong Tenggiling 4, Jalan Maktab Gaya, Luyang, Kota Kinabalu.

The registrati­on exercise commences on Jan 3, from 7 am onwards, on a first come first served basis until the quota is fully taken up.

Senior citizens who are less needy are urged to give a chance to those who are more in need of such aid.

EVSB senior officials and agents including its chairman Datuk Yap Pak Leong and President Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima (Dr) T. C. Goh, JP will also be present to present the ang pow and gi hamper to the participan­ts on Jan 13.
