KOTA KINABALU: Sunlight Pharmacy Health Elite force yesterday conducted a health talk in SJK © Chung Hwa KK primary school.

The lack of awareness among young students on the protection against influenza grabbed the attention of Sunlight Pharmacy to initiate a health talk in the primary school.

The one-hour health talk focused on the outbreak of coronaviruses and approximately 1000 students attended.

The aim for their health talk is to increase the awareness on the prevention against the deadly Coronaviruses and hopefully the students will benefit from the health talk by having a better understanding of the Coronaviruses.

The talk was conducted by Pharmacist Ang Yng Yeng who stressed about the effective ways of preventing the coronaviruses, by educating students how to wear the face mask correctly, seven steps of handwashing, ways to increase immune system and what should and shouldn’t be done during the peak period of the outbreak of coronaviruses.

The climax of the talk was none other than the handwashing song composed by the Sunlight Elite force themself. The students were taught by the Sunlight Elite Force on the seven steps of how to wash their hands properly during the sing-along session.

There were also question-and-answer sessions throughout the health talk to encourage the engagement of students who enjoyed themself and were extremely enthusiastic throughout the heath talk.

Furthermore, the appearance of Sunlight Mascot, Ph Sun had lid up the whole atmosphere. The health talk ended with Pharmacist Ang presenting a token of appreciation to their vice-chancellor of the school.

Sunlight Pharmacy is established in year 2000. To date, it has 21 branches in Sabah and Sarawak providing Healthcare services for the community.
