Trio jailed for disposing of stolen boat engines

KOTA KINABALU: Three men were jailed by the Magistrate's Court here yesterday for two joint charges of disposing of stolen boat engines.

In the case before magistrate Lovely Natasha Charles, Nursadam Mohd Yusuf and Mohd Nurrazri Ghadafi were each jailed 13 months after they pleaded guilty to their charge under Section 414 of the Penal Code.

The two accused were arrested for disposing of one stolen boat engine at an unnumbered house at Kampung Kesuapan in Pulau Gaya on May 14.

Meanwhile, in another case before magistrate Stephanie Sherron Abbie, Nursadam, Mohd Nurrazri and another accused Abdul Aziz Nistul were sentenced to 13 months' imprisonme­nt each after they admitted to their charge under the same section.

The trio was caught for disposing of another boat engine at Kampung Pondo in Pulau Gaya on the same day.

The court ordered the three accused to serve their jail terms from the date of their arrests and for Mohd Nurrazri to be referred to the Immigratio­n Department after completing his jail sentence for further action.
