KOTA KINABALU: Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) is not threatened by the untrue allegations that 600 members had le the party’s Sepanggar division, said Warisan Central Wira exco, Norazmi Alimat.

On Sunday, the then Warisan Sepanggar Division Wirawati chief, Raisa Abd Ghaffur, led a press conference in announcing that about 600 Sepanggar leaders and members, including herself, had resigned from the division.

She said the decision to leave the party had been made after a meeting amongst them due to the loss of confidence in the Warisan Sepanggar leadership under Datuk Mohd Azis Jamman.

“I am very confident and believe that the Warisan members in Sepanggar remain strong with a stance that is based on sincere struggles. Make this event a lesson that will continue to inspire the grassroots people.

“The original fighters and Warisan Sepanggar’s early movers are still intact and remain principled in this unfinished struggle.

“Separate personal interests in this sincere struggles, be humble and focused and do not be easily influenced by the delicate whispers that are spreading in the Sepanggar political arena at this time,” added Norazmi, who is also former Warisan Sepanggar Wira (sponsor) chief.

Former Sepanggar division elected commi ee member Captain Dr Zulfikar Zulkifli also claimed that the departure of about 600 members from the Warisan Sepanggar division was only the beginning of a major exodus from the party during the press conference on Sunday.
