‘Let’s Get Lean’ online program
KOTA KINABALU: The world is currently experiencing an obesity epidemic, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).
Malaysia even holds the title of most overweight and obese nation in Asia! To help tackle this raising problem, JCI Labuan is organising “Let’s Get Lean - A Weight Management Program” with the support of Nutritionists from the Ministry of Health, Exercise Specialist from Jabatan Belia dan Sukan, as well as Psychiatrist and Fitness Instructor, Dr Ng Boon Seng.
This collaborative free online event is meant to create health awareness and guide people on the proper ways of managing one’s weight.
From monitoring food portion sizes and calories intake, to maintaining an active lifestyle at home, participants are also able to benefit from personalized advice from specialists on a closed group.
To further engage and encourage the local community to change their eating habits and implement regular exercises to keep an active lifestyle, JCI Labuan will also introduce a 90 days “Biggest Loser Challenge”, where the top three participants who lose the most weight (based on KGS and BMI) will receive Gift Vouchers and Hampers from Event Sponsors, Kedai Ekonomi Labuan and The Farm shop Labuan.
The first online session for Let’s Get Lean is scheduled on 28 June from 2pm to 4pm). People are encouraged to register for the program via the following link: https://bit.ly/3eraGCF
