Warisan does not sponsor independent candidates

KOTA KINABALU: Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) has never sponsored any candidates who are contesting as independents, said its secretary general Datuk Loretto Padua.

Speaking in a statement here yesterday, he disclosed that any Warisan members who had registered as independents would automatically lose their membership.

He said that Warisan would take the necessary legal actions against those who had accused the party of sponsoring independent candidates.

“There is no reason for us to support independents to defeat our very own Warisan candidates,” said Loretto. We hope that the voters would be wary of these dirty tactics,” he added.
