Let me prove myself, says Karamunting candidate

-

SANDAKAN: Barisan Nasional (BN) Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA)’s candidate for Karamunting state seat in the snap election, Dato Chew Kok Woh, will be launching his manifesto for the people of Karamunting in the nearest time.

Chew said that his manifesto which will be spread in the form of a video, will show his ideas and missions that will be done if he is elected here.

“Karamunting state seat is one of the areas that lack development. As a BN candidate, I see that Kampung Pukat has an extremely high potential to be developed as a tourism destination; Karamunting Port could be developed and create job opportunities to the youth here.

“I had held the position as the Deputy Chairman of Bintulu Port Authority from 2015 until 2018, so I think that I could use my experience and knowledge from this experience to develop Karamunting Port.

“I was also once a councillor in Sandakan Municipal Council, so I know what the people here want, including those in Karamunting,” he said.

Chew asked for the voters in Karamunting to give him a chance to represent them for at least one term.

“Karamunting has been represented by different representatives from different parties, so why not choose me for one term and let me prove to the people the changes that I could bring to them. In my term of service, the voters could judge and evaluate me based on my performance; whether I am doing a good job, or not.

“They have the right to change their representative, or the leadership of the party could terminate my service, if they see that I do not perform in my position,” he said.

Chew will be facing six other opponents in the coming state election. They are Ha Cheun Hoo (LDP), Lee Tiang Yong@Lee Chee Ui (PPRS), Loo Mun Yew (Parti Cinta Sabah), Rachel Singh Chal (USNO), Kong Nyuk Thou (PBS) as well as incumbent Hiew Vun Zin (Warisan).
