JCI Tg Aru wins 21 awards at convention
KOTA KINABALU: Junior Chamber International Tanjung Aru won a total of 21 Individual and Local Organization Awards during the 2020 Area Sabah Virtual Convention held throughout August 2020.
The convention was participated by 100 JCI members from 12 local organizations through Area Sabah.
The members participated in various multilingual public speaking, debate, and report presentation competitions. There were also quizzes on UNSDG goals and Parliamentary Procedures. Many of these activities were integrated to being organised partially online due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
2020 JCI Tanjung Aru president Guah Chin Yong said, “I am proud of my JCI Tanjung Aru members who have made so much effort into preparing and practicing for the competitions.”
“It’s interesting to see our members develop new presentation, public speaking, debating skills and knowledge through these opportunities provided through JCI,” he added.
