DAP’s Kok told to apologise to Sandakan medical staff

-

SANDAKAN: Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) Sandakan Zone vice chairman, Jimmy Yong Vui Ming, has demanded Teresa Kok from Democratic Action Party (DAP) to apologise to the medical personnel of Sandakan hospital.

Yong said Kok had shared a Facebook post on her official account blaming the Sandakan hospital staff for wasting her time, after she was asked to undergo a Covid-19 test when she was in Sandakan.

The Facebook post that was posted on Sunday, saw Kok sharing her experience for being asked to undego a Covid-19 test, after her assistant mistakenly filled in wrong information on the declaration form at Sandakan Airport when she arrived in Sandakan.

Yong said that instead of apologising to the medical staff for the mistake, she took to social media to criticise the medical team for wasting her time in doing the test on her.

“She should know that everyone need to cooperate in the fight against Covid-19. The medical staff were just doing their job, which she should be praising instead.

“Such arrogance by DAP leaders trademarks their intentions to try to use every opportunity in incidents that they are being victimised by the authorities... they are just getting cheap publicity and sympathy from the people.

“She was however ‘choked’ by sensible netizens who commented against her social media posting of the incident.

“Her arrogance and rudeness are unacceptable, it is against the good job done by hospital staff,” Yong said.
