KOTA KINABALU: The Kadazandusun Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) congratulates and supports the newly formed State Government led by Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor as the Chief Minister of Sabah.

Its President Datuk Bonipasius Bianis said that KCCI will continue its role as the communication bridge between the government and the indigenous business community throughout Sabah. The Chamber is well aware of the experience of the chief minister and his cabinet members and will give full support and cooperation to future economic policies and programs that will have direct impact on sustaining businesses and enhancing entrepreneurship capability.

Besides guiding established SMEs, KCCI will also continue to help business start-ups and micro enterprises in the rural areas and will work with the government in providing training programs and courses to young entrepreneurs. These enterprises will also be assisted with current information on any available incentives, such as grants and funding facilities.

In view of the resurgence of the Covid19 pandemic, many businesses will again face uncertainties and worries. As such, KCCI will endeavour to extend a helping hand and will work with the government in containing the spread of the virus while protecting the health of the community and provide business counselling where necessary.

KCCI has full confidence that Hajiji, with his closer working ties with the federal government, will ensure that Sabah’s economy will slowly and surely lead to a full recovery.
