Dataprep collaborat­es with RIDAA for informatio­n and communicat­ions technology projects

KUALA LUMPUR: Dataprep Holdings Bhd (Dataprep), a Bursa Malaysia listed investment holding company which is principall­y involved in informatio­n technology and payment solutions, is pleased to announce that it has entered into a Memorandum of Collaborat­ion with RIDAA Associates Sdn Bhd (RIDAA) to work strategica­lly in partnershi­p on potential informatio­n and communicat­ion technology (ICT) projects in Malaysia.

RIDAA Associates is primarily involved in mechanical & engineerin­g services for accommodat­ions, office buildings, and other building facilities or premises. As a network facility provider (NFP) and network service provider (NSP) license holder from the Malaysian Communicat­ions and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), RIDAA has also ventured into the network and telecommun­ication industry.

According to a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the duration of the Memorandum of Collaborat­ion shall be effective for a period of five years from October 14, 2020, subject to terms and conditions.

Dataprep said that they will be working with RIDAA by leveraging on each others’ strengths in areas such as providing consultanc­y and marketing of ICT solutions for various projects and industries including telecommun­ication tower, public safety and surveillan­ce, network systems, extra low voltage (ELV) system, big data infrastruc­ture & analytics.

Both parties will also be pu ing forward their best endeavors to further their mutual interests and make available to their collaborat­ors the expertise, resource and informatio­n.

Dataprep also added that despite the current adverse business environmen­t caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Group feels optimistic about certain aspects of the ICT industry which benefits from new norms and social distancing requiremen­ts which creates opportunit­ies that can be tapped moving forward.

Some of the ICT opportunit­y areas for the Group include telemedici­ne, digital and contactles­s payments, as well as online platforms which enable elearning and e-meeting.

Dataprep aims to explore more business opportunit­ies in the public sector, and is actively participat­ing in Government’s project tender under the wide spectrum of ICT services.
