Gaya Street Sunday Market reopens

KOTA KINABALU: Api Api Night Market was allowed to reopen yesterday (Feb 26) while the Gaya Street Sunday Market will reopen tomorrow (Feb 28).

This was announced yesterday by Mayor Noorliza Awang Alip, who called upon visitors of both the Api Api Night Market and Gaya Street Tamu Market to comply with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) set.

Noorliza also announced the operation hours of markets permitted to reopen in conjunctio­n with the Conditiona­l Movement Control Order (CMCO) implementa­tion in Sabah.

She said day markets can operate between 6 am to 6 pm, night markets from 5 pm to 10 pm, tamu and farmers market from 6 am to 2 pm, and wholesale markets from 12.01 am to 2 pm with strict adherence to SOP and supervisio­n of the local authority.
