129 cases, one more death in Sabah

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah recorded 129 new Covid-19 cases yesterday, said State Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Masidi Manjun.

The state’s official Covid-19 spokespers­on said that Nabawan recorded the highest number of cases with 29, followed by Keningau (22) and Kota Kinabalu (22).

He said the Sinsingon Cluster in Nabawan, which had since recorded 29 cases, caused the increase in the number of cases yesterday.

“The cluster had also spread to other districts, namely Kota Kinabalu (three cases) and Keningau (two cases),” said Masidi in a press conference yesterday. He further disclosed that the state recorded one new Covid-19 death in Papar.

“One new cluster was detected in Kalabakan – dubbed as the Merotai Besar Cluster. The cluster has currently registered a total of 26 cases,” added Masidi. A total of 132 Covid-19 patients in Sabah recovered from the virus yesterday.
