Sng, Choong sacked from PKR

-

KUALA LUMPUR: PKR's Julau Division chief Larry Sng Wei Shien and Tebrau Division chief Steven Choong Shiau Yoon have been sacked from the party with immediate effect following their expression of support for the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government.

PKR secretary-general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said the decision against the two was made at the monthly meeting of the party's Central Leadership Council yesterday.

"The Central Leadership Council has also discussed the legal action that will be taken against those who contested on PKR tickets, but betrayed the people's mandate and have left the party," he said in a statement yesterday.

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin yesterday confirmed receiving the statutory declarations (SDs) from the two MPs who expressed support for the PN government.

Muhyiddin who is also PN chairman, announced the matter through a post on his official Facebook page.
