PKR told not to accept three Amanah assemblymen into party to maintain goodwill
JOHOR BAHRU: In the spirit of goodwill, PKR should not have accepted three state assemblymen from Amanah to join the party, said Johor Amanah chairman, Aminolhuda Hassan.
Aminolhuda, who is also Johor Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman, said this action by PKR could result in various perceptions among the component parties of PH.
He was asked on Senggarang assemblyman Khairuddin A Rahim, his Serom counterpart Dr Faizul Amri Adnan and Mahkota counterpart Muhamad Said Jonit who left Amanah to join PKR.
Aminolhuda, who is also Parit Yaani assemblyman and state Opposition Leader, said Johor
Amanah had not received any information or official letter from the three assemblymen on the matter.
“However, we will leave it to the Amanah national leadership to take further action on this,” he told Bernama when asked on the membership status of the three assemblymen involved.
Athough their decision was viewed as disappointing, Aminolhuda said it would not affect relations within PH or between PKR and Amanah.
On Saturday, Amanah communications director, Khalid Abdul Samad confirmed that the three assembly had left the party to join PKR. - Bernama
