90% of Sabah civil servants return to work

KOTA KINABALU: Civil servants in Sabah return to work at 90 per cent capacity whilst the rest are to work from home starting March 9.

Sabah Covid-19 spokespers­on Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said the Sabah government decided on the a endance instructio­ns in line with the implementa­tion of Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) effective March 5.

“All heads of organizati­ons must ensure that the presence of civil servants in the office reaches the 90% level during working hours while 10% are allowed to work from home with the approval of the heads of organizati­ons,” he announced here yesterday.

“The state government once again reminds all civil servants to fully comply with the current regulation­s and SOPs issued by the Ministry of Health or the authoritie­s,” he reminded. Masidi also said the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) at Kampung Tanah Merah in Kota Marudu has been extended from March 9 to March 22.

He said the EMCO in Kg Tanah Merah had previously been set to end yesterday by the government.

“To date, the MOH (Ministry of Health) has implemente­d 319 screening tests and out of the total, 26 Covid-19 positive cases have been recorded,” he said.

“MOH confirmed that there are still 181 remaining screening samples awaiting results and positive cases are still being reported in this locality.

“A er conducting a risk assessment with various agencies in the MCO Technical Commi ee and on the advice of MOH, the government has agreed to extend the EMCO in Kg Tanah Merah, Kota Marudu from March 9, 2021 to March 22, 2021,” he added.
